It is proven to be effective to treat a range of mental health problems such as
The only difference between Face to Face CBT and online CBT is that we would be in the same room virtually rather than physically. The treatment is exactly the same and can be more convenient as it can be done from a location of your choice via a video link.
You and your therapist will initially identify your current problems and how they are impacting upon your life. We will then explore this situations in detail and help you to become aware of the patterns in thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviour. Techniques of how to change these negative patterns to improve the way you feel will be explored and ways to deal with these problems in a more positive healthy way will be practiced in day to day life.
Unlike some other talking treatments, CBT deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past -It looks for practical ways to improve your state of mind on a daily basis. However for some people exploring their past may help you understand the here and now and you can discuss how to do this safely.
We would aim to have online therapy sessions weekly or once every 2 weeks. Typically a course of treatment will be between 6 and 20 sessions, with each session lasting 45 to 60 minutes.
Price: £70 per session
